Patoka Lake Marina again
creates another first in the State of Indiana with its beer cruises on Patoka
Lake. The voyage features only Indiana breweries with heavy hors d’oeuvre food
pairings.
Unspoiled views of Indiana sunsets
from Patoka Lake combine with Indiana beers, cheeses and desserts to make for a
relaxing summer evening, as Patoka Lake Marina and several Indiana breweries
offer the state’s first sunset beer cruises beginning May 31.
Each cruise serves up to 54 guests. They have the opportunity to sample beers made in Indiana. Each cruise will feature a different Indiana brewery with the brewer or representative discussing each beers creation. Bouquet, swirl and taste will be addressed with a complementing food item.
“It’s a way to give visitors another chance to enjoy and experience Patoka Lake while supporting Indiana breweries”, said Stephen Bartels, a co-owner of Patoka Lake Marina, which hosts thousands of visitors to tiny Wickliffe Indiana every summer for fishing and boating.
Upland Brewing Company will be highlighted May 31. The schedules of Indiana breweries are posted on www.patokalakemarina.com/events . You can also view our upcoming wine cruise schedules on our website.
The sunset cruise will cost $75 per
couple or $39.95 per individual. The price includes boat cruise, beer tasting,
hors d’oeuvres/desserts, 2 full glasses of beer and a souvenir beer glass for
each guest, persons must be 21 years of age and have photo identification. Reservations are required by calling
888-819-6916.
Patoka Lake Marina is on the second
largest lake in Indiana. It rents a variety of watercraft, including fishing,
pontoons and houseboats, and became the first and only marina in the state to
rent and sell floating cabins, as alternative to houseboats.
