Forgotten Times on the Ohio River

Now, as summer ends, is a good time to enjoy the beauty of the Ohio River at Forgotten Times Cabins, original 1850s cabins disassembled and moved to a bluff overlook Oil Creek which flows into the Ohio River. It is here, that the Cannelton Pool forms a 114-mile long "lake" on the river, a beautiful spot for sports enthusiasts..

Located in Derby, name by Sports Afield magazine as the number one outdoor sports town in the state, the cabins are owned by David and Mary Alexander and back up to 60,000 acres of Indiana DNR and Hoosier National Forest. The area is perfect for fishing including bass, crappie, catfish, sauger, striper and bluegill, boating, kayaking, cycling and hiking and nature walks to spot its abundance of wildlife such as blue herons, deer, beavers, wild turkeys and ducks.
