Farm Workshop @ Lincoln Boyhood National Memorial

Working with Family Roots Nursery, park staff has been researching historic varieties of crops and farm techniques that Thomas Lincoln would have likely used on his Indiana farm in the 1820s. Planned to coincide as closely as possible to seasonal patterns, the workshops will examine such topics as ground preparation, seed starting, ground cover, cold crops, harvesting and seed preservation.


Workshops will be held the following Saturdays from 10 am CST - 12:00 pm: February 18, March 17, April 7, May 5, August 11, September 22, October 13, and November 3.


There is no charge for the workshops beyond the park entrance fee.
