Big Locust Farm Bed and Breakfast

Joel Lindley, who owns Big Locust Farm Bed and Breakfast with his wife,Glenda, posted some great photos of morel mushrooms on his Facebook page and we just added them to Explore Southern Indiana's Flickr page as well.  

Big Locust Farm Morels

Morel patches are very special places and so though Joel can't tell us exactly where he found his cache of morels, he did say they all came from a spot less than 50-feet in diameter with the majority within a circle that was less than 15-feet in diameter on a very steep north facing slope at the edge of the woods. Considering that Big Locust Farm is located on 93-acres located in the heart of the Hoosier National Forest in Paoli,Indiana, I think it's safe to say that no one will find this special spot easily.
