There Will Be More Ghosts!

Here at Explore! Southern Indiana we're really into ghost stories big time as Halloween approaches and we certainly love any spooky story having to do with covered bridges. So we were thrilled to hear the one about the Williams Covered Bridge that crosses the East Fork of the White River in Lawrence County.

Seems back in the late 1800s, shortly after the bridge was built a horse and its rider went over the side of the bridge. And still to this day, those who approach the bridge at midnight can hear the neighing of the horse and the cries of the rider as they plunge into the flowing river.
