Meet Laura Barker of Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort

Laura  Barker, the PR Coordinator at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort and the Santa Claus Christmas Store, recently was a guest blogger on the Indiana Insider Blog. Since Laura's been a great friend for many years, we thought we'd repost this on Explore! so you can read what she had to say.
When we decided to expand this past season at Lake Rudolph Campground & RV Resort, we thought cabins. Cabins that could be open past our normal season, dare we say it…even during the holiday season? In 2009 we added the  Family Christmas Light Adventure, which is open during the months of November and December. The addition of lodging that was open during this same season just seemed to be logical. And we like to think that we’re logical people. Plus, our cabins had been very much in demand and the time had come to add more…25 more to be exact.
So it came as no surprise that when thinking up a name for these themed cabins that the words Rudolph and Christmas came to mind. I mean, was anyone shocked when we decided on the moniker “Rudolph’s Christmas Cabins?” That part wasn’t hard.
Now, how did we want these cabins to be different? These cabins should be special; premium cabins you might say. The term “Christmas Cabins” meant of course that they should be decorated for the season. And they are … complete with Christmas lights outside and lighted garland inside, along with Christmas themed prints and rugs. A cozy fireplace in the family room completes the warm, fuzzy feeling.
Christmas Cabins 2011We’ll be expanding with more Rudolph’s Christmas Cabins next year. Rates for 2011 and 2012 and our operating schedule are posted on our website.
Merry Christmas from Santa Claus, Indiana! Hope to see you this season sipping cocoa by the fireplace in a new Rudolph’s Christmas Cabin! And hey, invite me in for a warm cup will ya?
